Age :The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to General Category for appointment by direct recruitment to this selection is 53 years of age as on the first day of July of the recruitment year viz:2024.
Also the upper age limit for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/DNC and DW of all castes is 58 years of age as on the first day of July of the recruitment year viz:2024.
Pay scale :Rs.20600 – 75900/- (Level –10)
Secondary Grade Teachers Qualification & experience :
(a) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year
Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known);
(or)
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year
Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance
with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002;
(or)
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year
Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.);
(or)
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2- year
Diploma in Education (Special Education);
(or)
Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever
name known);
and
(b) Passed in the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper - I
Provided that a person with Diploma in Education (Special Education) qualification
shall undergo, after appointment, an NCTE recognized 6 months special
programme in Elementary Education.
Secondary Grade Teachers Selection Process :
The Selection Process will be based on Written Examination/Demo or Viva Voice/Interview.
