Essential Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in relevant subject from a recognized Indian University (or equivalent foreign degree).
  • Must have qualified:
    • NET (UGC/CSIR) OR
    • SLET/SET, OR
    • Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations (2009/2016 amendments).

Ph.D. Exemption Conditions:

Candidates registered before 11 July 2009 may be exempt from NET/SLET/SET if:

  • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode
  • Evaluated by two external examiners
  • Open viva conducted
  • Two research papers published (one in refereed journal)
  • Two conference presentations
  • Certified by Registrar/Dean
